Zentropa has moved into toon production in Spain, backing “Vlogger,” the film debut of Ricard Gras, a pioneer in vidgame animation and the creation of virtual worlds.
Machinima is the use of real-time 3D computer graphics rendering engines to create a cinematic production. Most often,video games are used to generate the computer animation.
VLOGGER is a 2011 cyberthriller produced by Zentropa International Spain.
The film centers on Barcelona-student, daughter to immigrants, who learns that her brother has plans to join a terrorist group. With just days before a terrorist mission takes place, she begins exploring virtual worlds using an avatar, in order to find him.
